The Value and Benefits of Physical Education and Sports in Building the Character of Students towards the Golden Generation

ABSTRACT:

This study aims to describe the value and benefits of physical education and sports in building the character of students for the golden generation. The function of character-based education, which combines character development with physical education and sports, is expected to be able to contribute maximally to the development of all aspects of students (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor). The educational paradigm is focused on developing a complete human being through physical education and sports. The research method used is a qualitative method that produces descriptive data using literature studies. The conclusion from this study is that approaches in physical education and sports are able to shape the character of students, creating a golden generation.
